Believe it or not, I am quite the domestic diva. When I am not conquering the fitness/fashion world, I am home cooking for the love of my life. It's one of the only ways that I effectively relax. And just like anything else creative, I love inventing recipes. And thankfully, Andrew is not a picky eater, so I am able to make anything that tickles my fancy.
Yesterday alone, I made three amazing meals. Breakfast was raspberry oatmeal pancakes, peppered bacon and jalapeno scrambled eggs. Lunch was grilled chicken tacos with my super top secret guacamole recipe. And dinner was filet mignon with scallops, sauteed peppers and onions, grilled zucchini and mango avocado salsa. All three meals were equally delicious...
As a result of my love for cooking, which began at the tender age of seven, I am a sucker for kitchen goods. I especially love hunting for speciality items. When I travel, I always try to find something for our home, whether it be a bowl from Costa Rica or a set of custom-made champagne flutes from Venice. I also actively search for novelty items, and always try to buy two so that I can gift one to one of my deserving friends. Here are some of my favorite kitchen items, all of which I highly recommend for Mother's Day gifts!
(1) Funky Ice Cube Trays from ZGallerie. I have the skulls but I am going to order the guns. Price: $9.95-$10.95
(2) These awesome kitchen gloves which have a crystal on the ring finger so that you don't feel to naked without your engagement ring! My Mom got these for me a couple years ago, and I absolutely love them. I have also given many pairs to friends and there always a hit!
(3) Olivia Riegal wine stoppers. I have the lips, the skull, the lion, the king and the queen. We will continue adding to this collection. They're all so gorgeous and the craftsmanship is exquisite. $50-$90
Now, it's time to marinate some chicken for our dinner tonight.....xoKELLY
