Recently, when we were exhibiting at The CURVE Expo at The Javitts Center, I met a lovely woman in her 40s, also a designer, but also a wife of 20 years and busy mother of two, who pulled me aside after learning that I am happily engaged, and said, "Kelly, do you want to know the secret to a happy marriage?"

Curious, I said, "Of course." And she said, "Cooking for your man and dressing up. After 20 years, I still do both, and we remain as happy as ever." Naturally, I responded with, "Well, duh!" 

But it's easy to forget this as we get caught up the chaos that characterizes everyday life. So, instead of throwing on your flannels and applying your zit cream, I encourage those of who are in relationships (or not) to play dress up more often. You'll make him happy (or her), and in turn, your happiness will emanate from the inside out. And this, in turn, will make everything about your life that much more savory.

LINGERIE TIP: Step outside of your comfort zone but not to the extent that you don't feel like yourself. That will just lead to disaster. You don't want to be laughing at yourself when you're getting in the mood! It's all about confidence and sexiness. 

Here's two of my favorite Agent Provocateur sets, now in stores: This 70s-style black French fishnet lace number. Looks amazing and feels even better. And this red set makes me speechless. Not much surpasses the gratification I experience while wearing luxurious lingerie.
